Effective starting in the Spring of 2024, the Dover Diamond Sports Board has voted to implement a new program to help attract, retain and grow our Baseball and Softball Coaches. Moving forward, DDS will not only provide more training opportunities, but will now reward our coaches with an incentive for all their time mentoring our players.
The plan is simple- DDS needs more coaches and as the program continues to grow, DDS wants to help our coaches improve. Head coaches will be eligible for up to 100% of registration costs and assistant coaches are eligible for up to 50% of registration costs.
In the document listed above, the DDS Board has outlined what steps need to be taken for coaches to receive reimbursement for registration costs. This includes the steps involved along with the criteria for all coaches. We strongly encourage our coaches to utilize the resources we have in place along with communicating with the appropriate league commissioner as well as our coaching directors.
